Pure Breeds available 

The Pure Breed chickens we have for sale are all suitable for first time chicken keepers being child-friendly, docile, easy to handle and care for and ideal for keeping as backyard flocks. Some of the birds we keep feature on the RBST watch list and we strongly believe in helping the preservation of rare breeds.

All of our Breeds are kept in seperate breeding pens during our main hatching season which is April to August and we look to improve our stock each year by choosing the best birds from those hatched. To ensure that we have healthy, quality breeding stock the birds are kept out in large grass runs that are reseeded annually with a special poultry mix of fast growing grasses and clovers to help attract insects and maintain good fresh grass.

After the breeding season we seperate the hens from the cockerels and they are run in different areas.

Please remember to bring a cardboard box or animal crate (cat basket) to collect your chickens with. As a guideline a normal sized cat basket will hold two pol chickens safely and comfortably
