Hatching eggs (unavailable until Spring 2012)
We take every care to ensure that fertile hatching eggs that are posted will arrive with you "fresh" and in a safe condition. Once we receive your order, we THEN start the process of collecting your eggs and will contact you on the day of despatch for postal or an appointment to be made for collection.
We are though, in the hands of mother nature so please understand that at times, a slight delay may occur but we will contact you to advise of the reason behind any delays.
The eggs will be sold in six's but can supply more on request.
Information on Our Breeding Pens.
DEFRA registered flock.
All of our birds are unrelated and are all kept out on grass (apart from November-February).
We only use 2nd lay birds for better egg uniformity & 1st season cocks as they are more virile & damage the birds less (smaller spurs). The ratio is 1 cock to max. 6 hens to help with fertility.
They are all fed on a professional Free Range ration and they are wormed regularly using both Flubenvet and Verm-X.
Fertility has been tested with extremely good results.
Parent stock can be seen at collection of your eggs.
Postage & Packing
Collection in person is preferable however we can also offer to post the eggs.
Be assured, I will only send eggs that are fresh to ensure the best hatch rate possible.
Eggs will be securely packaged and sent Royal Mail - Special Delivery (next day service)
No overseas posting- UK only.
You must leave eggs to stand (large end up) for at least 24 hours before setting in an incubator.
If you have any concerns over fertility once you have purchased eggs please get in touch. If the eggs go through the post and you have more than 50% infertile, I will replace the eggs or refund once the eggs have been returned within 10 days of customer receiving them.
